I’m running out of superlatives for this AWESOMELY written drama. Seriously
We’re already at episode 14 and many viewers, I believe, are in the same mode as I am:
WHAT? ONLY 3 MORE Episodes to GO?! Jjincha?!
It is simply a testament how DAEBAK writers and production team can create a seemingly-straight forward storyline using a magnificently unconventional approach for a KDrama. Having a fantastic ensemble cast is a bonus too 🙂
We’ve seen the Cute, Sweet and Charming, so many were bracing for the steep dive into suspense, drama and more angst.
Especially after seeing this Episode 13 cliffhanger:
DUN-DUN-DUUUUN!

Man! This Drama keeps getting better and better! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?! XD
Writers Jo Sung Hee and Yang Hee Seung are doing a FANTASTIC job of creating a zippy drama, especially when inserting squee-worthy moments for our OTP and more importantly, keeping the angsty trope on a short leash. Applause, applause. You guys are fast becoming my favorite writers next to Jung Sung Joo of the legendary Secret Love Affair.

A New Savvy King has Saved Me!
After Secret Love Affair, I found it difficult to get hooked on another KDrama. The story-telling bar was pushed to the stratosphere that I became impatient and dissatisfied with sub-par ones (read Dr. Stranger – this one fell into FUBAR zone).
Seriously, I asked myself a few times if I would ever be as immersed and invested in a KDrama as I was with the epic SLA. Lee Seon Jae, you’ve pretty much became The Man of the Millennium in my books 😀
It took quite a while sifting through and testing my drama-osmosis level until I watched Episode 1 of High School King of Savvy.
